I am reading… lots LOL Having a Mary Heart in  a Martha World and The Disapperance of God

I am hoping… I am praying to become pregnant

I am creating… nothing right now but I have a ton of WIP on my sewing table and a cross stitch sampler for a present for somebody

I am praying… for the gas prices to drop so we can do some fun local stuff during the summer

Around the house… smell of dough, surrounded by books, books and more books,

One of my favorite things… My son’s bday in July and my bday in August and my DD’s bday in September (and of course my other DD’s bday in February and my DH’s bday in March)

A few plans for the rest of the week… nothing, AWANA is done, no ballet this week, just rescheduling some dr appts and some trips to the library.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

Outside my window… sunny, trees blowing in a slight breeze, just enough coolness to enjoy it.

I am thinking… of all the things I need to do or complete.  And where are my quilt blocks?

From the learning rooms… nothing but some planning.  Starting up again on June 1st

I am thankful for… for the freedom to homeschool and great friends

From the kitchen… homemade buttermilk pancakes w/ turkey bacon for breakfast, remake sourdough starter, mac and cheese for the little’s lunch and salad night for dinner?

I am praying… for my cousin who is on his way to Afghanistan.  We aren’t close but I still pray for his safety and one day his Salvation.

Around the house… reading and sewing.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today… May 11th, 2009

Outside my window… it is sunny and a slight breeze is ruffling the trees.  Someone is using a weed whacker.

I am thinking… of how much needs to be done and how much I’d would have loved to have a garden this year instead of a patch of weeds in my back yard.

From the learning rooms… Our assessment was a great success and I am begining our planning for our 2009-2010 which will commence in the next week or so.

I am thankful for… the ability to be able to continue to sew and learn how make clothes for my children and myself.

From the kitchen… for dinner we will have bow tie pasta with alfredo sauce for the littles and I and red sauce for my DH and a salad.

I am wearing… a blue, denim jumper with a blue t shirt and my brown crocs.

I am reading… Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver, The Night Watchman by Mark Mynheir and Love is A Verb by Gary Chapman

I am hoping… to post my Bible study answers for Mary Heart and finish the dresses I have started.

I am creating… the dresses I mentioned above, maybe (finally) Christian’s shorts, some more tote bags to sell

I am praying… that my friend’s house buyers go through with the deal, that my OB /GYN calls me with news on my u/s and that nothing is wrong.

Around the house… doing laundry, need to pick up living room, work on sewing, do some reading, make lunch, love on littles, wash dishes, make dinner.

One of my favorite things… the breeze coming in through open doors

A few plans for the rest of the week… Tuesday is Hannah’s ballet class and Pulm. appt., Wednesday is AWANA, Thursday is Bethanne’s ballet class, Friday our last interest group where the students get to perform and recieve their certificates.

A Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today…

Outside my window… it is sunny, the wind is blowing and it’s not too hot today.  Very nice!

I am thinking… how I enjoy hearing the sounds that occur when the wind blows through the trees

From the learning rooms… getting ready for our first ever end of the year assessment

I am thankful for… the ability to make healthy, sustaining meals for my family

From the kitchen… I am either going to make a chicken meal or grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup for dinner. Thinking also if I want some fresh veggies soon I really need to get the garden out.

I am wearing… a brown jumper, pink t shirt and my brown crocs.

I am reading… Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver and Uncompromised Faith my S. Michael Craven

I am hoping… to get my garden put out.

I am creating… a few pillows, a pair of shorts for Christian this Wednesday and maybe finish a dress or two for Bethanne (since they were for Hannah but she has outgrown that size I was making)

I am praying… that the NP calls with good news of Bethanne’s lab work

Around the house… straightening up my bedroom, enjoying the breeze coming through the open doors, doing laundry, dishes and eventually making dinner.

One of my favorite things… the breeze coming in through open doors

A few plans for the rest of the week… tonight is our 4H meeting, Tuesday is Hannah’s last day of having to miss ballet, Wednesday getting together with a friend who will me sew and AWANA, Thursday is Bethanne’s ballet class, Friday nothing – we’ll see about getting the garden in then.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

Okay I can’t share a picture with you today because all my pictures on my computer were lost when my computer crashed Saturday night :(  If anyone knows how to restore them please let me know.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

I am completing my Simple Woman’s Daybook entry.

 For Today…

Outside my window… cloudy, with lots of rain

I am thinking… I want my children to grow up knowing, loving and serving the Lord

From the learning rooms… nothing,  Hannah is still recovering from her surgery although I am getting her assessment binder for our assessment on May 8th

I am thankful for… food to keep us healthy and a roof over our heads

From the kitchen… homemade pancakes, jello (for Hannah), mac and cheese, creamy pork casserole and bread dough

I am wearing… a brown jumper, pink shirt and my light blue Crocs

I am reading… A Time to Live by Jerry Eicher, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver and Uncompromised Faith by S. Michael Craven

Joanne writes like a caring sister in her latest book, Misplacing God! It is like sitting right in front of her and she is so interested in how you are spending your time…asking and with side words of pleading at times, "Are you "being" with your Lord?

I am hoping… I will get the table cleaned off before DH comes home to surprise him!

I am creating… a quilt in my head

I am praying… for God to provide a way to cover my student loans that are coming due in August.

Around the house… cleaning, doors open for the fresh air, laundry, dishes

One of my favorite things… is my shelf with my Amish dolls DH bought me in Holmes County and my tart warmer

A few plans for the rest of the week… work on DD’s friends bday presents, AWANA and ballet for Bethanne, reading, reviews, cleaning.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

This is the dresser scarf that I embroidered for my inlaws for Christmas 2008.  I also made matching pillowcases.  Embroidery, to me, is very relaxing and seeing your completed work gives a sense of completion.  I plan on borrowing the pieces back to enter at the county fair this summer.
