MOM Exercise Challenge Update.

on February 25, 2008

Well I guess since it’s Monday I better check in.  I hope that the other moms did better than I.  I only got in two workouts.  I decided that after having kicked one child on the arm and about running over the one that was running circles around me that it would be best to do it before they get up!  I need to get an alarm clock that won’t wake the whole house when it goes off so I can wake up a little earlier than everyone else.  Like I said before I refuse to exercise in front of DH so I can’t do it after they go to be either!  So I got in two days the past week.  I have two of the Leslie Sansone walk videos in at the library I just have to drag myself out into the cold with three children in tow and get to get them.  It is easier to get them in the van now that we have two sliding doors!!!  Yes, we are moving up in the world.  Just kidding.  By the way DH’s shirt that hasn’t been able to button is now wrapping around him-that means-yes he is now loosing weight as well!!!!  WooHoo.  He is excited and made me give him a high five before leaving for work LOL.  I can tell I am still losing too but I wish that the stomach rolls would disappear.  So that is my update.  I am not exercising this morning either, hopefully tomorrow if I go to bed early enough.  It’s also troubling when the bottom of your tennis shoe is falling off UGH!

God bless.

Every little bit counts! I am terrible about sticking to any kind of exercise routine. 😦

I'll email you later about my watermark- right now I'm on Randy's laptop and can't get to my email from here.

HI AMY, TRUE BUT SINCE I AM DIABETIC IT REALLY NEEDS TO BE REGULAR, KWIM? BY DOING IT SPORADICALLY IT DOESN'T HELP WITH THE B.S. AND OF COURSE NOT ENOUGH WEIGHT LOSS LOL. I AM STILL REALLY THINKING OF JOINING CURVES I JUST WISH I HAD A FRIEND CLOSE BY THAT COULD GO WITH ME.

THAT IS FINE WHENEVER YOU GET A CHANCE. HOW ARE THE LITTLE ONES DOING?

    GOD BLESS

I tried exercising with my toddler running around the living room, but when I laid down to do the stomach work, he ended up sticking his fingers in my belly button. I'm still ticklish! LOL No more exercise when he's up and about!

Congratulations to you and your hubby on your weight lost so far!

    Love,
    Becca

    Hi Sarah,

I just found your blog a couple of days ago and really looked at it for the first time today. I know what you mean about exercise. It is such a struggle, isn't it? I too am diabetic and KNOW I should exercise regularly but I just haven't figured out how to do it. We have an elliptical machine but if I try to use it when the kids are up, they crowd around me and tend to get whacked. I read on MOMYS that your house is super tiny so maybe you don't have stairs? We have a huge house with lots of stairs and I am up and down a lot so that does help, I suppose.
I'm feeling convicted again but need to figure out what to do. LIke you said, routine is important.
If you ever want to share more diet tips just let me know. I do think I have the low carb life down pretty well. If you go to Trader Joe's, they have a very tasty low carb sprouted wheat bread that I love (7 carbs per slice instead of the normal 15). I've found that if my blood sugar goes up too high it also goes down too low and then I feel shaky and like I could eat the entire planet. So it is important to me to try to keep my blood sugars fairly stable.
