I have added a new button under my avatar.  I found out about it when visiting Families Against Feminism  I will post more later on why I have added this to my blog.  For now though I will tell you I think it is truly the Lord speaking to me.  I have for the past several days had a yearning, a longing, to strive to be the Proverbs 31 woman and make God, my husband and my children happy.  So for now, as it’s almost 10:30pm, I will leave it at that and try to make a more in depth post in the next couple of days.

I have been busy with a sick cat, freezing food, soccer sign ups, as well as comtemplating setting up a booth at the farmer’s market.  More later on being the Proverbs 31 woman that the Lord wants me, and all Christian women, strive to be.

God bless.

I'm looking forward to your next post.

And re: the cat. 😦 I'm sorry to hear that she's not doing well. We had to put our oldest one to sleep last summer (we inherited her from DH's dad) after they found a tumor in her belly– she stopped eating and was sick. The kids did much better with it than we expected. M loves the idea of Dutchess being in heaven with Grandpa (and I know there's a theological question of animals in heaven, but this works for us) and that seemed to make her feel much better about it. There were also some books and a video at the library about pet loss that I got for the kids once we knew Dutchess was not going to be with us much longer. You're all in my prayers- pets are like family members!

GREAT. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO POSTING MORE WHEN I GET TIME.

I look forward to reading what you write about wanting to become a proverbs 31 woman. It is something I strive for as well.

I was just browsing around using the random browser button and came across your blog. And out of curiosity clicked on the Ruby Rebel button and the link "families against feminism" you had listed in your post titled "Ruby Rebel" and both came up with an error saying the site did not exist. Just thought you'd like to know that the links have either changed or something else has happened.

I also wanted to say that I agree with your comments about the 4th…although our family didn't do anything special to commorate the birthday of our country, we still agree that it's not about the current events at hand. I suppose however, you could say that the underlying theme would be Freedom, which I guess is what the troops are fighting to keep and yes supporting them, especially with our prayers is important…but that should be all the time anyway, not just on holidays right?!

    Blessings, Melissa
