Random 5 on Friday – April 12

on April 12, 2013

I found a new link up!  I love link ups as they help to drive traffic to your blog as well as helping your mind write something if you have blogger’s block 🙂  You can join in to over at The Pebble Pond.  Trust me thinking of 5 random things isn’t easy.

1.  I love rummage sales – good clothing and books, cheap and you may just find an ice cream maker!

We found this brand new at the rummage sale today for $4.00.

2.  My neighbor had a lovely cat, named Stanley, he was like the neighborhood cat, everyone loved him and he enjoyed having my children to play with him.  He was sick a couple weeks ago and his owner had to take him back to the vet on Wednesday – he had feline HIV.  We are now without our lovely Stanley.  Please pray for my neighbor as it’s not easy making the choice to let your animal go.

3.  I am so blessed by having gone to the Midwest homeschool convention last week.   I got to meet some lovely ladies that I’ve only known up until then on the computer.  Was able to find some good deals on some curricula we needed as well as being blessed from working at a booth of my favorite history curricula.

4.  It’s getting really hard……..I love thunder storms.  We just had our first real spring thunderstorms and it was awesome.

5.  It’s almost time for my very first 5 K, actually a week from tomorrow.  I am very excited.

I love thunderstorms too! We don’t get them very often in the PNW which makes me sad. It also makes me enjoy them even more when we do get them:)

I have been wanting to run a 5k for a long time! I just never seem to actually do it. Good for you!

      Hi Miranda,

thanks for stopping by. I’m walking this one – not up to running quite yet 😀

Thunderstorms? Really? Wow this is the first time I hear that. My boys get terrified by those and we did have one this week. They get pretty bad here in Toronto.
