Lost Sheep and the Scary Day is a wonderful little board book for the youngest of readers and their parents. Geared for ages one to three the book will hold their attention as the parent gets to make animal sounds like “baa” and “munch munch”. What child doesn’t love to hear their parents make lively noises that hold their attention while being read to and cuddled? This is just one book in the series published by Kregel, there are three others – Baby Jesus, Noah, Jonah.
Colorfully and brightly illustrated these book will appeal to the youngest of readers because of the many bright colors that decorate the books 18 pages. It’s size is just over 6 X 6 inches which is perfect for littles hands to grasp so they can help turn the pages. The thick board will hold up to being dropped and used by the little people who are going to enjoy this story. The end of the book culminates in a lift the flap surprise, does the shepherd find his lost sheep or not……you’ll have to read the book to find out.
